"There is so much in life we take for granted," Rosita says. "As a future primary health caregiver, I would like to create public awareness with regard to this preventable and devastating disease," Rosita says. A mountain is climbed one step at a time and success starts with a tendency toward action. In order to raise funds for prostate cancer research and education, I have been inspired by the generosity and support of my family and friends to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro." Rosita reminds us that South Africa’s ex-president Sir Nelson Mandela developed prostate cancer last year.
Proceeds of the Prostate Cancer Climb will go exclusively to funding education and research. Distribution of the Hap Weyman Memorial Prostate Cancer Project Fund will be determined by the Independent Educational Research Funding Committee (IERFC). |
