PROSTATE CANCER CLIMB Bio
“A total recovery from hip replacement surgery less than three years ago ended my running career, but thanks to much hiking and bicycling I’ve been able to since reach 10 summits of more than 14,000 feet in Colorado,” Dietrich says. “The need for a healthy lifestyle and the witnessing of so many unhealthy habits in the world has helped me keep my focus.” Baltzer’s father reached the age of 92 with prostate cancer. Dietrich’s first wife, however, succumbed to breast cancer. “Climbing to help battle cancer makes all the effort worthwhile,” he says.
Proceeds of the Prostate Cancer Climb will go exclusively to funding education and research. Distribution of the Hap Weyman Memorial Prostate Cancer Project Fund will be determined by the Independent Educational Research Funding Committee (IERFC). |
