PROSTATE CANCER CLIMB Bio
"Although much to my parent's relief I finally got a real job (as a financial manager) and since that time I have been fortunate to travel in some remote and wonderful places and to challenge myself and my competencies," says Christopher. Although he now lives in both Florida and Colorado, Chris was born in England in 1953. His father was a naval officer and his mother, who died recently from lung cancer, worked as a guide in the Swiss Alps. After his retirement, the elder Morson became a cancer research pathologist. He later was diagnosed with prostate cancer and underwent a prostatectomy. "This is an opportunity for me to continue my love affair with Africa, attempt a goal that I had never before dreamed of, and help raise awareness about a disease that is not dissimilar in its social barriers to where breast cancer was 20 years ago," says Chris.
Proceeds of the Prostate Cancer Climb will go exclusively to funding education and research. Distribution of the Hap Weyman Memorial Prostate Cancer Project Fund will be determined by the Independent Educational Research Funding Committee (IERFC). |
