My name is Michael Weintz, and I will be shooting a documentary on the Prostate Cancer Climb.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. After graduating from San Diego State University, I worked as a Field Deputy for the Los Angeles Mayor's Office where I represented the Mayor in the San Fernando Valley. After 5 years in politics and government, I left to enter the television production business. I currently work on the television show, "Arrest & Trial", shooting reenactments of true crime stories. In the adventure film world, I recently had a project in the Banff Mountain Film Festival about whats its like to climb North Americas tallest mountain, Denali. I have over 10 years of mountaineering experience, including climbs in the California Sierra, Ecuador, New Zealand, Alaska and Nepal. I met Dr. Terry Weyman after hearing about the climb at Adventure 16, a mountaineering shop, and the rest is history - I will be producing a one-hour documentary about the Prostate Cancer Climb, telling our story through the camera's eye. It's one of my and Dr. Terry's hopes that the film will be eventually be broadcast so that millions of Americans can not only be inspired by these men, but also can learn more about their own risk of prostate cancer, and in the process, save lives.

Sincerely,
Michael Weintz
